A fishing trip through south france

Finally I fullfilled my long lasting dream to fish two lakes in south France. Thank god for the small iBoat 160, which turned out to be amazingly spacious and stabile and very good as a transport boat, even in quite strong wind and waves.

My Baits
I rolled Imperial Baits Carptrack Monster-Liver boilies with little Carptrack Elite flavour and
Black Pepper essential oil.

Short summary of happenings
On first lake I managed to catch 9 carps and lost one. On Cassien it was diferrent, I struggled hard and lost two fish and than on the final morning, few hours before packing up I caught my first Cassien Big One! Monster-Liver Boilies did it again for me!

My girlfriend was with me on a 16day trip, but it wasn’t all fishing, I fished six days on each water. We visited Nice, Cannes and Monaco and we made trip to magnificent Lac de St.Croix, for me one of the most beautiful lakes. So happy with my first trip to south France, I’m still very excited and I can’t wait to get back and explore new carp waters…

The Start of a big journey

My girlfriend was with me on a 16day trip

For us the first time that we see the Mediterranean!

Our first step after thousands of kilometer – the mystic lac de saint Cassien!

The water level was low…

We drove over the big Cassien bridge to fish first on an another lake

Here we are! I was hot to go fishing now!

Our small umbrella – we don’t need something more, the weather was really nice during our trip

The sun goes down and I was waiting for the first contact

My first french carp – what a beauty!!!

Because the ground was very muddy, I used Carptrak Half’n Half Elite Hookbaits for a perfect presentation!

The Show must go on! I caught a really heavy fish!

Because of the small catfish (Katzenwelse) I have to coat the hookbaits to protect them…

I used Fox Bait Floss for it!

But I tested also the new Worm Up Range – what a grandiose smell!

On Lac de Saint Cassien I have some trouble with crayfish, but the Carptrack Boilies are very strong to resist the attacts for a long time!

Also my girlfriend enjoyed the warm sunshine in the iBoat 160

On Cassien it was very difficult, I struggled hard and lost two fish!

My rods are ready for the last night – hope to catch my first Cassien carp!

The last days of our holiday trip, we explored the beautiful cities of the Côte d‘ Azur

between palm trees and sunsets…

…light painted buildings…

…and a very good steak!

A large marina drew my attention to itself

South France – there is too much to discover it in a human life!
