My Amur Personal Best
from Sandor Hamar

During the hottest weeks of this summer, grasscarp-specialist and Imperial Baits Teammember Sandor Hamar spent a week on a 48 hectare old mining-lake to catch some of the wild fish.

The concept was to find the tactic to catch only grasscarp!
The average depth of the lake is around 6 meters. The baits he used at first were Carptrack Osmotic Spice and Banana Boilies together with some sweet tigernuts. It was interesting that he just caught on the south side of the lake grasscarp.

The grascarp hookbait:
For the hookbait Sandor used a Half’n’Half Banana and Elite Strawberry. The smaller fish (8-12 kilogramms) prefered the Banana and Osmotic flavours, but the second half of the tour the main bait has been changed to Elite Strawberry! After that only the bigger ones visited his spot. It was amazing to see, that the fish weight was growing fish by fish – 15+ later 19+ and finally upto 21,4 kilograms.
